With nearly 1,400 exhibitors and more than 60,000 visitors in 2011, the Mobile World Congress has cemented its reputation as the world's largest mobile technology fair.
Every year since 2006, a partnering event has taken place at the World Congress, organised by ACC1Ó -a department of the Catalan Government's Ministry of Enterprise and Labour- together with a core group of partners from the Enterprise Europe Network with the aim of helping European start-ups, SMEs and Research groups from the mobile technology sector in initiating transnational partnerships.
In 2011, over 400 companies from 22 countries submitted about 410 technology profiles they were offering or seeking. Over the 4 days of the brokerage event, approximately 1,000 meetings took place.
This B2B Matchmaking Partnering event brings together innovative organisations from several countries around the globe seeking to collaborate to mutual commercial benefit. Activity will focus on one-to-one 30-minute pre-scheduled meetings.
The purpose of the brokerage event is to enhance opportunities for companies to explore and find partners from the mobile technology sector.
The EEN Brokerage Event collects innovative technology offers and requests from all over Europe (and other countries such as Canada, Israel, United States...).
A large diversion of prospects is available as all sort of collaboration sought is offered: Research & Development, Technical Co-operation, Joint Venture Agreement, Manufacturing Agreement, Licence Agreement, Commercial Agreement, FP7-ICT Project).
During the event, meetings will take place face-to-face at the Catalan Pavilion.
